Hello, What’s your Name?

My name is Lizzie the Lizard and I’m the world’s only kissing lizard…(She Kisses)

Wow, that sounds cool. Do you like all the attention that I’m sure it brings?

Yes I guess, I’ve never really thought about it like that. But being really really rare makes me feel special, after all we are all special and unique in our own way are’nt we

Yes of course we are. So what have you been up to lately?

Well, Sid and I have been really busy over Easter visiting all the children and eating so many easter eggs.  We are really enjoying our new shows especially when I get to sing Lady Ga Ga in the Mix ‘n’ Mash up show. I feel like a real superstar! I have also had great fun playing on my Wii, my favourite game of course is Just Dance 3, I love it!

So what are you looking forward to this year?

There are lots of things happening on our Parks this year; The Queens Jubilee, The London Olympics, Euro 2012. I can’t wait for them all to get going. There is going to be some great events and activities for everyone to join in with, I expect Sid will be trying to teach me all his football skills, I’m not very good but I’ll give it a go. The Olympics will be exciting I love the gymnastics and the diving…go Team GB!

And finally, what are your favourite films at the moment?

Well I love watching Films and going to the cinema, Sid and I often have film nights of our own.  I saw the new ‘Pirate’ animation film earlier in the year and I’m really looking forward to ‘Ice Age 4’ which comes out in the summer. But my favourite film on DVD that I love to watch is ‘Tangled’ but Sid doesn’t like it when I sing along to all the songs. (She laughs)

This year Ruda Holiday Park are celebrating their 75^th Birthday. Sid & Lizzie are joining in the celebrations too with some exclusive activities running throughout the summer weeks including:
Charity Balloon Races, Birthday Themed Events and Activities, A special Sid & Lizzie Birthday Show, Beach competitions and much much more. The Park is also going to be holding various events based on the local history of Croyde Bay and the surrounding area. We can’t wait for the celebrations to begin; we hope to see you there.

Sid & Lizzie had some great fun over Easter with loads of games, parties and most of all chocolate! It was great to hear about all the fantastic Easter egg hunts that took place across all our Parks, the children really enjoyed themselves and secretly the grown-ups did too. Especially once everyone finally found their Easter Eggs. They were especially excited to see all of the fabulous Easter decorations that the children made in our Easter Art and Craft sessions, which made the entertainment venues look fantastic. Lizzie is now, however, making Sid do even MORE exercise to burn off all the chocolate he ate, let’s hope you too are keeping fun fit n funky just like Lizzie.

My name is Sid the Seagull, and I’m a Hip Hop, Bee Bop, Dance till you drop kinda Gull. I’m Hippin’ & Happin’ and…

Ok, We get the message. Can you tell the readers what your highlight of 2011 has been?

Oh right, well there’s been so many great things this year, I dunno which one to choose. Umm, I suppose my highlight has been getting to meet even more boys and girls this year. We got to visit all 24 parks in 2011, right from North Scotland to the South of Cornwall… I’m just glad the Rainbow Flyer was up to the job!  Whey hey! Ooh, that and getting this new website up together! Pheww…

Sounds like you’ve had a really busy time! The website looks great. What’s your favourite feature?

Well… it’s all great, but it’s got to be between two features. First, the Holiday highlights section where all the boys and girls get to choose their favourite activities from their holiday, and then print off their very own unique poster to put on their bedroom wall… That and Sid’s Joke sender. I love jokes so it’s a really cool way of sharing the funnies with my friends all over the country!

What is your favourite joke at the moment?

Umm… err… I’m a cultured kinda bird, with classic tastes and a mature outlook on current affairs… so it’d have to be this one. (Coughs)

Why is a sofa like a roast chicken ?

I don’t know?

Because they’re both full of stuffing ! (Laughs)

Very refined Sid! And finally, what exciting things are you most looking forward to in 2012?

The Troupers have been really busy organizing some great activities for all the families to get involved with. We’ve got the Under the Sea Day, the Parkdean Pop School, The Super Hero Movie Day and my favourite, the Time Trip

Travel Day, where we get to visit different ages and basically… have FUN!!!
